Charismatic driver all but clinches ARCA Menards Series championship with his second Kansas Speedway win of 2025
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Sept. 26, 2025) – Brenden “Butterbean” Queen celebrated his last Kansas Speedway win in May at a Waffle House in North Carolina. On Friday night, he was searching for a location in Wyandotte County after holding off Giovanni Ruggiero on two overtime restarts to win the Reese’s 150.
The charismatic 27-year-old from Virginia all but sealed the 2025 ARCA Menards Series championship with his 8th win of the season and his second in as many starts at Kansas Speedway. Queen won the ARCA Menards Series’ Tide 150 in May at Kansas Speedway.
“You just have to capitalize on the opportunities in the moment,” said Queen, who trailed Ruggiero for most of the night, but took control of the race on a late restart in regulation. “Our car was good enough if we could get to the lead … It really goes with the motto of never give up and you fight until the end, because it aint over until its over.”
Queen will secure his first ARCA Menards Series championship if he starts next week’s race at Toledo Speedway, a foregone conclusion. But before he does that, Butterbean will compete in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series’ Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway.
It’s a track that will feature non-stop action tomorrow, as the stars of the NASCAR Cup Series will also practice and qualify for Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 presented by ESPN BET.
