Kansas Speedway’s upcoming NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race dubbed the Heart of Health Care 200

By

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (April 10, 2025) – Kansas Speedway announced today that its upcoming NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series event on Saturday, May 10, will be named the Heart of Health Care 200.
The new entitlement celebrates National Nurses Week, which recognizes the nursing workforce for the expertise and compassion they bring to the heart of care. Throughout Nurses Week, AdventHealth will treat nurses with special events including self-care experiences, educational opportunities, and more.
“It’s an honor to celebrate core members of our health community and workforce with this name,” said Kansas Speedway President Pat Warren. “The work nurses do is pivotal to the wellness of our community, and we’re thankful to have a partner in AdventHealth to help amplify their importance with the Heart of Health Care 200.”
“Nurses are part of a wide spectrum of life’s moments, providing whole-person care that heals the body, mind and spirit,” said Sam Huenergardt, president and chief executive officer for AdventHealth’s Mid-America Region. “At AdventHealth, we are proud to recognize the many ways nurses support patients, further innovation and bring our mission to life. This tribute is just one way we celebrate the major difference they make – on race weekend and every day.”
The Heart of Health Care 200 is one of three electrifying events set to take place during Kansas Speedway’s Spring NASCAR weekend. On Friday, May 9, the ARCA Menards Series will begin the action-packed weekend with the Tide 150 at 7 p.m. Saturday’s slate of on-track activity includes the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series’ Heart of Health Care 200 at 6:30 p.m. along with NASCAR Cup Series Practice and Qualifying earlier in the day.
And then on Sunday, the stars of the NASCAR Cup Series will lineup for the AdventHealth 400 at 2 p.m., which featured the closest finish in the series’ history one year ago.
