KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Oct. 19, 2018) – Sheldon Creed won the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards championship by making a lap in this morning’s practice, but his evening was a little more eventful as he had to rebound from a spin to win the Kansas 150.
Harrison Burton, who was competing in his first mile-and-a-half in the Series, finished second and Michael Self finished third.
Earlier in the day, Joey Logano won the pole for the Hollywood Casino 400 on Oct. 21, his second pole at Kansas Speedway. Logano earned the pole with a speed of 191.646 mph. Kevin Harvick, who won at Kansas Speedway in May, will start second. Aric Almirola, who has guaranteed his spot in the next round, will start third.
The NASCAR XFINITY Series takes center stage tomorrow for the Kansas Lottery 300 race at 2 PM and qualifying earlier in the day. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will also have two final practices for Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400.
