It’s official! In 2013, Kansas Speedway is adding GRAND-AM Road Racing to its schedule with the Rolex Sports Car Series and Continental Sports Car Challenge Series. The inaugural event weekend is slated for Aug. 16-17 under the lights. Additional information on the weekend schedule will be available at a later date.

“I’m excited to announce the addition of GRAND-AM Road Racing events at Kansas Speedway,” said Kansas Speedway President Patrick Warren. “This is another opportunity for our fans to see great racing action at Kansas Speedway and both of these series will put on a great show at Kansas Speedway.”

The GRAND-AM weekend joins Kansas Speedway’s previously announced NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event weekends April 19-21, 2013 and Oct. 4-6, 2013.

General Admission tickets for the GRAND-AM weekend, which includes access to the grandstands and infield on both days, will start at $60.  A limited number of weekend paddock passes can be added to an admission ticket for an additional $30.  For a limited time, Kansas Speedway season ticket holders will be able to purchase weekend tickets for $30 that also include a free paddock pass.
Tickets for the GRAND-AM weekend will go on sale on Friday, October 26, along with tickets for all other 2013 NASCAR events.

Test Session:

Both the Rolex Sports Car and Continental Sports Car Challenge Series will take part in an open test session on Oct. 27-28 at Kansas Speedway and fans that want a sneak peek at GRAND-AM are invited out for the free test session, though Kansas Speedway is requesting a donation to the March of Dimes.
Fans will have access to the infield both days and fans wishing to visit the infield should enter Kansas Speedway at France Family Drive. Map

For grandstand access, fans are asked to enter at Michigan Drive off of Speedway Blvd. and to park in Lot 6. Gate D (near Turn 1) will be the only Gate open. Fans will have access from Turn 1 through Hospitality Village to watch testing.

Parking lots and gates will open at 8 AM each day with on track activity beginning at 9 AM; on track activity will conclude by 4:45 PM each day. Concessions will be available in the infield.

Parking is always free at Kansas Speedway and fans can bring in one 14x14x14-inch soft-sided cooler with their favorite food and beverages.
