Racing Notes:

  • Two-time Kansas Speedway winner Jeff Gordon won the rain-shortened NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Pocono yesterday. The win moves Gordon into the second Wild Card position for the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.
  • Dale Earnhardt Jr. leads the point standings by five points over Matt Kenseth. Two-time Kansas Speedway winner Greg Biffle is currently third, just six points behind Earnhardt Jr., while another two-time Kansas Speedway winner, Jimmie Johnson, is just eight points behind Earnhardt Jr., in fourth place.
  • Elliott Sadler won the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Iowa on Saturday. Sadler leads the Nationwide Series point standings by 18 over teammate Austin Dillon.
  • Joey Coulter won the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Pocono this past weekend, the first win of his career. Coulter is the ninth different winner in 11 races this season in the series.
  • Timothy Peters leads the Truck Series point standings by eight points over rookie Ty Dillon. 2012 SFP 250 at Kansas Speedway winner James Buescher is third in series points, just 15 behind Peters.
  • Chad Hackenbracht won his first ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards race this past weekend at Pocono. Hackenbracht is the third new winner this season in the series.
  • Brennan Poole leads the ARCA point standings by 15 with just six races remaining. The series will crown their champion at Kansas Speedway after the Kansas Lottery 98.9 on Oct. 19 under the lights!
