It’s only fitting that when local drivers Clint Bowyer and Carl Edwards race at their “home track” in the Price Chopper 400 presented by Kraft Foods, that classic rock band Kansas plays a pre-race concert at their “home track” as well.

Kansas, who has a host of platinum and gold records, will be performing at Kansas Speedway in a pre-race concert for the first time on Oct. 4.

“We look forward to having Kansas take part in our pre-race activities on October 4 for the Price Chopper 400 presented by Kraft Foods,” said Kansas Speedway President Jeff Boerger. “We know our fans will enjoy their concert and hopefully, we’ll have some ‘Wheatheads’ [the bands fans are referred to as Wheatheads] in the stands as well.”

“Dust in the Wind” may be the band’s most recognizable song, having been heard in the movies “Old School” and “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure,” and the TV series “The Simpsons,” “Desperate Housewives,” and “Highlander: The Series.”
