Women in Racing Event at Kansas Speedway on April 26
Female drivers, team owners, pit crew members and business leaders will gather in Kansas Speedway’s hospitality village for Women in Racing on Saturday, April 26.
 
Guests attending have the opportunity to tour the pits, enjoy the race and speak with women leaders in motorsports. Proceeds go to the Women’s Intersport Network for Kansas City.
 
The supporting women draw from the IndyCar Series, ARCA RE/MAX Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Lori Hamilton* is the owner of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team, Bobby Hamilton Racing. Margaret Roth*, owner of the IndyCar Series Team Roth Racing, will also be attending. NASCAR’s only female pit crew member, Nicole Addison* joins ARCA RE/MAX Series drivers Alli Owens and Gabi DiCarlo* in attendance. Also attending is Ashley Parlett*, Parlett is an ARCA RE/MAX Series RAB Racing development driver, and a Screen Actors Guild stunt driver. Parlett has been featured in Glamour as the “2005 Toyota Moving Forward Woman of the Year” as well as starred in Dominoes commercials.
 
The fun starts at 1 p.m. with pit tours and a reception. The speaker and autograph sessions with women in racing begin at 2:30 followed by the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 250.
  • 1:00: Pit Tours and reception
  • 2:30: Speaker Session and Autographs featuring: Gabi DiCarlo, Alli Owens and
             Ashley Parlett*
  • 3:15: Speaker Session and Autographs featuring: Nicole Addison, Lori Hamilton
             and Margaret Roth*.
  • 4:30: Pre-race Ceremony
  • 5:00: Race Starts
