My 2006 Holiday Travels
What a way to blast into 2007 with Kansas Speedway! The holidays are over and I'm back in Victory Lane. This holiday season, I was able to visit my pals all over Kansas - even Santa and Baby Jay. To start off my holiday vacation, I grabbed my racing gear and headed south - to Coffeyville in Southeast Kansas. Community Elementary School has over 1,000 students - wow! I surprised them with race cars and more gifts from Kansas Speedway. I surprised the students the same week as Santa. So together, we spread holiday cheer. After one ride in the Official Pace Car, he wanted to know how to get a job like mine - I told him he had to at least take Auto Shop first. Besides, he could give away gifts faster with a real engine on that ol' sleigh. Santa wanted me to stick around, but I had to get back to Kansas City. He promised to call Kansas Speedway first if he had sleigh-trouble during his trips through Kansas. That would keep our Pace Truck busy! On my way back, I stopped in Lawrence, the home of Jayhawk basketball. Big Jay is pretty busy this time of year. He and Baby Jay were warming up in Allen Fieldhouse for the holiday games. Between the 'Hawks and Wildcats, I didn't miss a moment of Big 12 sports during vacation. AND I made it back to Kansas City in time for Chiefs football. New Years' Eve topped it all - Go Chiefs! I'm so excited my favorite football team is in the playoffs. This can only mean great things for KC sports in 2007 - including Kansas Speedway! Whew, I bet race fans itch for the roar of an engine and fresh smell of rubber after all this basketball and football in the offseason. Just remember, Kansas Speedway is always here for the fans! Take a tour or come visit me in Victory Lane! Your Friend,
