Welcome to the Kansas Speedway family! We’re so glad you’ve decided to join us for the Midwest’s best NASCAR action. We’ve put together this guide to help prepare our first-time visitors for their first trip to our track!
Get inside the action with scanner and FanVision rentals
Imagine what it would be like if you could hear your favorite team’s in-game communications in real time. You would know the plays before they happen, see the strategy play out in front of you, and feel like you were part of the team. With a scanner and headset rental, you get to be part of the crew of your favorite NASCAR team. Listen to real-time communications and gain a better understanding of what’s happening all over the track. You can watch the race without the teams in your ear, but it won’t be anything like hearing their race-day strategy as it unfolds. Our advance rentals are closed for the May 10-11 Digital Ally weekend, but don't worry! You can snag a scanner or FanVision rental from any of the Racing Electronics trailers located throughout the property on race weekend!
Why do I need to rent something extra to watch the race?
You can enjoy the race without a scanner or FanVision and headset rental, but you'll only be getting half the action. Those cars racing around the track can lose context until you hear the logistics of everything from passing to pit road strategy. They're also extremely loud; nothing rattles your chest like the field as it flies by your seat. The feeling is awesome, but hearing loss isn't. You're going to need ear protection anyway, so why not upgrade it to enhance your race day experience? Grabbing your gear on race day is simple with our friends at Racing Electronics, who have trailers throughout our property to pick up, program, and drop off your rental equipment.
What's the difference between a scanner and a FanVision?
- Real-time audio from drivers and crew
- Ability to pick your favorite channel or scan through the field
- Helps lend context to the action on the track
- Hear strategies missteps directly from the teams
- Watch the race on the track and from hand-held video device
- See the broadcast footage or exclusive camera angle
- Driver positions always visible on-screen and updated in real-time
