Each year in the United States, more than 500,000 babies are born premature. More that 120,000 others are born with birth defects and many don’t make it to their first birthday. One in eight babies in the Kansas City area are both premature.
Over the past 19 years, riders, sponsors and donors have raised nearly $7 million to benefit life saving research and mission programs, making this the largest and most successful March of Dimes ride in the country. Funds raised by Bikers for Babies also support local grants focused on issues related to premature birth and community programs such as NICU Family Support.
