Richard Petty Driving Experience (RPDE), the world leader in stock car ride and drive entertainment, and Kansas Speedway have entered into an expanded and exclusive relationship that will give racing enthusiasts and thrill seekers their choice of 50 days in 2011 during which they can get into a NASCAR race car on the 1.5 mile tri-oval.
As part of their agreement, RPDE will station cars, equipment and personnel in Kansas, making it the fourth base location for the company. Headquartered next to Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC, RPDE has other base locations at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Walt Disney World ® Speedway in Orlando, FL, which allows it to operate at more than 20 race tracks across the United States throughout the year.
“The time was right to expand our presence in the Midwest, generally, and at Kansas Speedway, specifically,” said Mike Bartelli, Chief Marketing Officer of Petty Holdings and Richard Petty Driving Experience. “We’re proud that Pat Warren and his team have selected RPDE to be the exclusive stock car ride or drive experience at Kansas Speedway.”
“At Kansas Speedway, we provide the best guest experience in motorsports and Richard Petty Driving Experience provides a great experience for their customers as well,” said Kansas Speedway President Patrick Warren. “We look forward to working exclusively with RPDE as they provide ride and drive experiences at Kansas Speedway.”
RPDE’s first 2011 dates at Kansas Speedway will be April 29th – May 1st. For RPDE’s complete 2011 Kansas Speedway schedule or to book your driving experience, visit www.DrivePetty.com/race-tracks/kansas-speedway or call 1-800-237-3889.
