Kansas Speedway hosts KAN-AM Electric Challenge
Kansas Speedway hosted the KAN-AM Electric Challenge on Monday. About 50 electric cars from four different states competed in three divisions: standard, experimental and open. Among the competitors were Hays High School’s electric car team and Team Electrolite of Portland, Maine, the national record holder for the fastest electric car – 53.16 miles in an hour while using less than a kilowatt of energy.
